Mr. William Eugene Blake is the founder & president of BLAKE’S UNIVERSAL MARTIAL ARTS. He has been training in martial arts since 1986 and received his seventh degree black belt in Taekwondo and Hapkido in 2017. He has competed in a wide range of tournaments ranging from the Capitol Classics to the AAU Nationals & Junior Olympics. Mr. Blake has been inducted into several hall of fame's and been in several local newspaper articles. He has trained in a wide variety of martial arts and holds Dan ranking in several martial arts.
Steven Blake
Vice President, 2nd Dan
Mr. Stevie as he is called by the students is the vice president of BUMA. He has been training in martial arts since 1992.
Valerie Blake
Lil Dragons Coordinator, 2nd Dan
Ms. Val is the head of the little dragons program and has been training in martial arts since 1992.
Larry Blake Sr.
Head Instructor, 4th Dan
Larry Blake Sr. is the Head instructor of the District Heights location. He has been training in martial arts since 1989.
Deanna Blake
Assistant Instructor, 2nd Dan
Deanna Blake, also known as Miss DD is a assistant instructor for our Hapkido, Tang Soo Do, and Tae Kwon Do programs. She has been training in martial arts since she could first stand. Miss DD holds rank in Judo, Jujitsu, Kendo, and holds Dan ranks in Tang Soo Do, ITF style Taekwon-do, Olympic Style Tae Kwon Do, and Hapkido.
